Dear friends;
Micronational authorities.
We finally arrive at another Christmas and with it, we are taken by moments of renewal of faith and hope, of bonds of affection, love and friendship, but, above all, of our beliefs and convictions. It is time to regret what we did wrong, to celebrate our successes, and to reaffirm our values.
Two thousand and twenty-two was a difficult year in the most diverse aspects of our lives. We still suffer - to a lesser extent, it is true - from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, we face different wars around the globe and, in Brazil, we still suffer from a political polarization that puts the Brazilian people in a delicate situation.
Brazilian micronationalism also faced - and faces - a difficult year, mainly because it is at its most evident in the world since the apex of the Holy Empire of Réunion.
That year was marked by xenophobic attacks against Brazilians by international agents, in addition to being a year marked by censorship, where the opinions of a pseudo-micronationalist spoke louder than the sense of justice and righteousness.
But it was also a year of important achievements. Brazilian micronationalism was represented at Microcon 2022, in Las Vegas, we increased our recognition abroad and reinforced the image of the Brazilian sector in the world, something that micronational practice in Brazil had not experienced, at least, since the late 1990s and beginning of the 2010s.
For Quinta Velha in particular, we had the incorporation of the Province of Bom Jesus dos Navegantes, the production of our first souvenirs, we expanded our diplomatic contacts, and we reaffirmed our unconditional friendship with the Karno-Ruthenian Empire and the Kingdom of Ebenthal, through the Pact of Altenburg. We continue on our mission to rescue, safeguard and disseminate Northeastern culture, with a cultural production methodology that has become a model for several micronations. We reached the mark of two hundred followers on Twitter, we assumed the General Secretariat of the main micronational organization in the Americas - The Conference of Santiago. Furthermore, we strengthened friendships with important allies, and broke up those that had nothing to add, always aiming to guarantee unrestricted support for true micronationalism, that which is based on respect for differences.
And this is how a quality micronationalism is built: going up one step at a time, reaching concrete goals and putting together one piece at a time so that, in the end, we have a great work. This is how we take the name of Brazilian micronationalism to the world, separating the wheat from the chaff and sharing the good news.
This Christmas, we pray to Our Lord Jesus Christ to pour out his blessings on our friends and their families, that it be a Christmas filled with harmony and happiness and an end of the year that closes a cycle of great achievements for all. May 2022 end with a golden key so that 2023 begins with greater achievements for Brazilian micronationalism.
Respectfully.
Thomas.
King of Quinta Velha.
